Communion
At St. Matthew’s, we practice open communion—which means that all are welcome at Christ’s table.
You do not have to be a member of this church or any church. You do not need to be confirmed or fully understand the mystery of this meal.
If you hunger for grace, for connection, for love - you are welcome here.
In the Lutheran Church, we trust that Holy Communion is a gift, freely given, not something we have to earn by getting it all right.
It’s one of the beautiful ways God shows up for us, offering forgiveness, healing, and strength. We trust Christ is truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine, meeting us in love.
