After School | Across the Street

Just for Mcknight Middle Schoolers
Thursdays & Fridays | 2:35–4 p.m. | September - June

Tired of sitting around after school? Come kick back, get creative, and make something awesome happen.

At Across the Street at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, we turn Thursday and Friday afternoons into your favorite part of the week. It’s totally free, no pressure, and all about you.

Whether you want to mix up slime, bake something tasty, paint a masterpiece, win at 4-square, or just hang with friends and snack—this is the place.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

  • Arts & crafts, slime, and hands-on projects
  • Easy cooking (and eating!)
  • Outdoor games and chill spots
  • Group games and good music
  • Snacks every time (including legendary homemade ones)
  • High school mentors who get it
  • Adults who are there to support and cheer you on

Getting home is easy:
🚍 Ride the
4:00 p.m. activity bus from the middle school
🚗 Get picked up at church or walk home with permission

Need extra support?
We’ve got your back. We provide
free food boxes for middle school families who could use them—just let us know.

🎈 No sign-ups. No fees. Just a place to be yourself, try something new, and have fun with people who care.

We can't wait to see you.
