1. St. Matthew's Programs
Everyone is welcome to a free, hot meal. Stay and eat with others, or take a meal to go. Volunteers are always needed to help prep, serve, and clean up.
McKnight Middle School students can get free tutoring, join cooking and art activities, play outdoor games, and more.
Our team participates in local Pride events, offers resources, and fosters meaningful conversations about faith and inclusion. Everyone deserves a spiritual home, and we are committed to being a church where all belong.
Our Adult Senior Group meets for weekday outings to restaurants, museums, and other fun places. If you think this group might be for you, it is!
We read books about faith, justice, and human dignity, then talk about how those ideas show up in everyday life.
We meet once a month on Zoom to talk about life changes, share resources, and support one another.
Spiritual Care Companions are trained to listen with care and confidentiality as you share your feelings of pain, trauma, or grief. They offer support without judgment.
Kids ages 0–18 and their caregivers are welcome to a free summer lunch. Volunteers are always needed to help prep food, serve meals, and clean up.
2. Serve with Community Partners
Luther’s Table hosts a wide range of events, including live music, games, creative workshops, community gatherings, and more. You can also volunteer, especially with food prep and the free Saturday meal.
Volunteer with Sustainable Renton by sorting food at St. Matthew’s, stocking the Food Hub by our parking lot, or helping with projects at other locations.
3. Serve at St. Matthew's
Be a reader, serve communion, help clean up after worship, or choose from many other ways to help.
Join our church music ministry! We have a band and a handbell choir, and everyone is welcome to be part of the music and fellowship.
Help in the office, prep for Kid’s Church, work on the grounds, tackle DIY projects, and more. If you have skills to share, we’d love your help.
